Registration at the Pacific Doctoral School

The doctoral project at the UNC only takes shape once the administrative registration is finalised. This first registration can be done at any time during the academic year.
To register, potential doctorate students must submit their completed application file to the Secretariat of the Pacific Doctoral School (EDP). This is also an opportunity to review social security coverage. Once the UNC President’s has authorised the first registration, the EDP secretariat will set up an appointment time to finalise the administrative registration.

 

 

Registration Renewal at the Pacific Doctoral School

Students must renew their registration each academic year, which is mandatory at the start of the academic year on the enrolment days, regardless of the date of the first registration. The registration renewal process of doctorate students takes place in two stages.

  • Step 1 for the 2021 school year

In order to correctly prepare your renewed registration, you must submit to the Secretariat of the Doctoral School, by December 1, 2020, the documents listed in the registration renewal file signed by your thesis supervisor (and your thesis co-supervisor if applicable) and attach a copy of the supporting documents necessary for registration renewal (see list of required documents in the registration renewal file).

The student is reminded that it is mandatory for a supervision committee to be held in 2020 in order to be enrolled in the Doctoral School in 2021. No waivers will be granted. Students on the gap year in 2020 are invited to contact the Doctoral School for any questions on this subject. The Secretariat of the Doctoral School will acknowledge receipt of the files received, verify that they are complete and forward your file to the Office of Studies and Student Life (DEVE) by December 22, 2020, the closing date for the UNC.

The complete file must be submitted to the Secretariat of the Doctoral School or sent by email to admin_ed@unc.nc (with the scanned supporting documents) by December 1, 2017. Incomplete files will be declined.

  • Step 2 for the 2021 school year

The student must call the Office of Studies and Student Life on (+687) 290 290 or (+687) 290 293 from January 15, 2021 to set an appointment date on the enrolment days. It is the student’s responsibility to do so and the Doctoral School will not send out reminders. Doctorate enrolment renewal will only be received 17-30 January 2021. If the student is not unavailable at this time, they can be represented by a third party.

Step 1

The Secretariat Of The Pacific Doctoral School (EDP)

The registration renewal file – completed and signed by the thesis supervisor – must be submitted to the EDP secretariat, who will then seek the endorsement of the Director of the EDP and the agreement of the President of the UNC.

Step 2

Office Of Studies And Student Life

Once the file has been validated by the EDP, the students finalise the administrative registration on campus and by appointment during the enrolment days.
