University Preparatory Programme for Graduate School (CUPGE)

Exam and Competitive Exam Preparation + Bachelor’s Degree Department of Science and Technology

This challenging course is aimed primarily at highly motivated students with an ‘S’ (scientific) baccalauréat who intend on investing themselves seriously in their studies.
The University Preparatory Programme for Grandes Ecoles (CUPGE) is based on a bachelor’s degrees in the fields of science, technology and health. It offers increased multidisciplinary training aimed at preparing motivated university students to gain admission to an engineering school (through a competitive exam or on application file) or to pursue long studies at the university.

Two courses are available: the CUPGE-MP course with extra emphasis on mathematics and physics; and the CUPGE-PC course with extra emphasis on physics and chemistry. Students take lectures for the bachelor’s degree in mathematics or physics-chemistry but have specific tutorials and complementary lessons to cover the entire competitive examination programme reserved for university students. The CUPGE course includes approximately 4 hours of additional classes per week compared to other courses in the degree programme.

Polytech NC Programme
As part of a partnership with the Nice Sophia Polytech School of Engineering (Ecole d’ingénieur Polytech Nice Sophia), CUPGE students can, after an application process and motivational interview, access Polytech engineering studies. Up to 20 places are available at Polytech Nice Sophia for second year CUPGE students.
