Department Courses

The Department of Science and Technology offers four bachelor’s degrees (computer science, mathematics, natural and life sciences and physics-chemistry) that allow students to pursue further studies in France if desired, for a Master in Sciences or at an engineering school, or a Master in Teaching, Education and Training at the UNC. The student also has the possibility of continuing their studies with the two master’s degrees on offer at the Department, in environmental sciences and computer methods applied to business management.

In addition to these “general” courses, the Department offers two selective admission courses, known as “Excellence”: The First Year Combined Health Studies (PACES) and the University Preparatory Programme for Grandes Ecoles (CUPGE).

Finally, there is also the professional-oriented offer, of a Diploma of Scientific and Technical University Studies (DEUST) contextualised to the mining trades in New Caledonia and two vocational degrees concerning resources (mining) and the instrumentation of measurement and quality control.
