Master’s in Environmental Management

The Master’s in Environmental Management is a course adapted to the New Caledonian context that takes place over two years and is made up of 4 semesters of teaching and internships. The first year takes place entirely at the UNC and includes a two-month internship in the second semester. In the second year, semester 3 is a requires mobility outside of New Caledonia, in a master programme chosen by the teaching team. Semester 4 is a 5-month minimum internship in a research organisation or in a company, on a subject validated by the teaching team.

The aim of this master’s is to train qualified executives (bac + 5) to work in environmental-related careers, whether in companies (mining, environmental restoration, environmental studies, etc.) or in public services (including provinces, government and municipalities). Skills acquired will enable the student to manage and understand, with an integrated and multidisciplinary approach, general issues of environmental management (conservation, restoration), natural resources and monitoring/control of activities with environmental impact.
