Master of Teaching, Education and Training – Secondary

Exam and Competitive Exam Preparation + Master's Degree Graduate School of Teaching and Education (ESPE)

External competitive examinations for secondary school teachers are prepared as part of a Master programme at the ESPE, an in-house graduate school at the University of New Caledonia.

The Master of Teaching, Education and Training (MEEF), secondary level, is designed to allow the students of the University of New Caledonia to prepare for the competitive examinations for secondary school teaching and to gradually learn about this career path.

This course ensures the student acquires a solid knowledge as well as the tools and skills necessary to enter the teaching profession. Academic knowledge is complemented by professional work placements periods which gradually evolve from observation to being responsibility for a class within institutions.

The following pathways are likely to be offered:

  • Modern Letters (CAPES)
  • Mathematics (CAPES)
  • History and Geography (CAPES)
  • Languages (English, Spanish) (CAPES)
  • Natural and Life Sciences (CAPES)
  • Physical Sciences and Chemistry (CAPES)
  • Physical and Sports Education (CAPEPS)

Natural and Life Sciences and English language pathways are temporarily suspended.
