The Language Resource Centre

Good language skills for both students and staff are prerequisites for integration in the Pacific, for the recognition of research, for the improvement of training and for the attractiveness of UNC in the region. The Language Resource Centre (LRC) is a vehicle for opening up to the international community and the promotion of the French-speaking world and is designed to promote the learning and development of the languages of New Caledonia’s and foreign languages. The LRC has a dual purpose: to offer students extra english language training on top of the courses already taken in the different departments; and to organise French-language training courses for foreign audiences (students and teachers).
It is an accredited centre for language certifications: certification in English Language : IELTS, CLES, certification in French language DELF-DALF.
