French Immersion Campus
From November 15 to December 6, 2025, the University of New Caledonia invites you to join the 12th edition of its French Immersion Campus, a truly unique immersion experience.
These three-week courses combine French as a Foreign Language instruction with academic lectures, cultural activities, and immersive field trips. At the core of this Immersion Campus is a unique opportunity to learn French in a truly multilingual and multicultural setting. New Caledonia, shaped by both Pacific legacies and French heritage, offers an ideal space to explore the deep connections between language, culture, and identity. Rooted in the research strengths of UNC and closely tied to local heritage, this program offers a truly distinctive and place-based learning experience.

Included
- 45 hours of French as a Foreign Language (FFL) classes
- 4 hours of introduction to the Djehu language
- 2 traditional craft workshops
- 5 cultural outings
- 2 thematic excursions
- 3 academic lectures
- Accommodation at the International Student Residence
- Local transportation related to program activities
Optional
- 6 hours of DELF/DALF exam preparation
- 1 DELF/DALF certification exam
- 7.5 ECTS credits (upon request)
Not included
Airfare, visa, insurance, and meals (except during thematic excursions).
A fully equipped kitchen is available at the residence, and a supermarket is within a 15-minute walk. This program is indicative and may be revised or further developed.
